The Heart Behind Coffee Speaks N Tea Talks™

Some of my earliest memories are connected to the smell of it. As a little girl, when I smelled coffee in the morning, I knew my mother was awake. That aroma meant home. It meant comfort. It meant the day had begun and someone I loved was there.

When my mother passed away in 2016, I found myself asking God for something that would allow me to keep her memory close—not tucked away for special occasions, but present in my everyday life. I didn’t know exactly what that would look like. I simply trusted that, in His time, God would show me.

And He brought me back to coffee.

On January 12, 2017, the idea for Coffee Speaks N Tea Talks™ began to take shape. What started as a deeply personal connection to my mother grew into a vision for a place where people could gather, slow down, and really talk. In 2019, that vision became a coffee shop.

But I never wanted it to be just another place to buy a cup of coffee.

I wanted people to walk through the door and feel something.

I wanted the person sitting alone to feel welcome. I wanted friends to stay longer than they planned. I wanted conversations to happen naturally—over coffee, tea, laughter, reflection, and sometimes even tears. I wanted people to have permission to put the rush of life down for a little while.

Because some of the most meaningful moments in life happen around a table with something warm in your hands.

Over time, life changed, and so did the way Coffee Speaks N Tea Talks would serve people. The brick-and-mortar chapter came to an end, but I realized the heart of what I had created was never confined to four walls.

It was the feeling.

• It was Morning Grace—that quiet beginning before the world gets loud.
• It was Porch Talk—the comfort of home, familiar voices, and conversations that have nowhere they need to go.
• It was Jazz After Dark—those slower evening hours when the music is soft, the coffee is rich, and you finally have time to exhale.

It was tea at the end of a long day. A favorite mug. A thoughtful gift. A moment of stillness.

Today, Coffee Speaks N Tea Talks has become a lifestyle brand built around those moments.

My hope is that when one of our coffees, teas, or mugs finds its way into your home, it does more than simply give you something to drink. I hope it reminds you to slow down. To call someone you love. To sit a little longer. To listen. To laugh. To reflect. To enjoy the life that is happening right now.

My faith remains at the center of this journey. Looking back, I can see how God took something that began in grief and gently turned it into purpose.

What began with the memory of my mother has become something I now get to share with you.

And perhaps that is what Coffee Speaks N Tea Talks has always been about:

Connection. Comfort. Conversation.

More than coffee. It’s a conversation.
